For
the annual CFDA Fashion Awards, Chrissy Teigen was invited as the date
of Stuart Weitzman, the purveyor of covetous heels. Needing to show off a
killer pair of stilettos, the uproarious and unfiltered model chose to wear a dress by Solace London
with a dangerously high slit so the centerpieces could be seen at all
times. But the opening was perilous indeed and the already revealing
chasm breached even more, exposing (or almost flashing) Teigen’s
undergarments. And, in true unfettered form, she shared the whole mishap
on social media.
“Wardrobe malfunction of the highest caliber,” the Sports Illustrated swimsuit
model shared on Instagram. “Let’s just say the slit took it upon itself
to rip 5 inches higher.” Luckily, John Legend’s wife was carrying
a vintage Swarovski clutch and was able to disguise the mishap.

Also,
while the strapless neckline did sit in the middle of her breasts — and
was another accident waiting to happen — her nipples never slipped. She
added an addendum, questioning commenters, “do you guys know what a
shadow is? Those are not nipples. I know what my nipples look like. You
don’t. Well maybe you do. But those aren’t them.”
Despite the single fashion faux pas, Teigen still had her sense of humor and was gracious (and gorgeous). “Thank you @stuartweitzman for letting me be your date and for always making my feet happy and legs sexy!!!”
