Cronulla Local Melanie Ward Making Waves at the Cinema

Melanie Ward is an actress from Sydney who is taking the industry by storm. Since appearing on award winning “Home and Away” in 2010, she has gone from strength to strength to now playing lead roles in multiple feature films.
Melanie has been cast in major feature film, “Red Rabbit Lodge” directed by Kevin Khachan. It is a horror film in which she will be playing a Californian exchange student. When questioned about her character’s accent she states; “I’ve had an accent coach for the past few months so I’m looking forward to the challenge. I also lived in California for six months last year so I have it down pat, I can’t wait!”
Even though Melanie has been in constant demand in the Australian acting industry, this will be her first horror movie. “I’m actually nervous about watching it at the premiere. Filming it will be so exhilarating, but I’m terrible at watching horror movies. I can’t handle the suspense!”
Melanie has just finished filming a show for the Abc called AZIO: The Bogan Spy Agency, in which she is acting along side well known Australian comedian, Frenchy. It is a highly anticipated show because of their combined status in the industry and will premiere in July.
“Red Rabbit Lodge” features many famous Australian actors. Most notably, Home and Away’s Andrew Steele who made the top three in Bold and the Beautiful’s Australian actor competition
