You know it’s coming… it works like clockwork. Every year, Apple hits us with a new iPhone. There’s always something newer, better, faster, about the upgrade. But this time, rumor has it that there are two major change that will come with the iPhone 7…
1) Say goodbye to your headphone jack. What? According to Time.com, the iPhone 7 won’t have a headphone jack. In an effort to make the iPhone thinner and more water-resistant, people are saying that Apple is nixing the headphone jack. We will probably have to use wireless headphones or connect headphones through the Lightning port. Different, right?
The article also explained that more major, technological changes will come with the model after the iPhone 7, which will come out in 2017 – the 10th anniversary of the iPhone!
2) It might be completely waterproof. Quartz is reporting that the new iPhone might be waterproof. Apparently, Apple secured a patent that “outlines a system for color-balancing photos shot underwater.” Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Note7 are already waterproof, so it makes sense that Apple would be going for this technology too.
So if you’re in desperate need of a new phone, keep an eye out for the iPhone 7… but for the rest of us, we’ll be watching to see what Apple comes up with for their next big thing
