We caught one of Australian Entertainment Reporter
Amber Bollard’s interviews the other night. It was with the American Dancer,
Creative Director and Choreographer, Anthony Burrell. The interview was
refreshing and it was a pleasure to watch. Not only did Ms. Bollard’s professionalism
come through as usual, but it was very clear that one of her extremely strong
talents is the ability to create a very relaxed and non-challenging atmosphere
for her guests. She enables the people she talks to, to feel completely at
ease, which enables them to be themselves and talk freely.
Mr. Burrell is famous for his ability to blend
classical and commercial dance styles and he has choreographed for big brand
companies such as Pepsi, Direct TV, DKNY and Ivy Park. He has also worked with
Mariah Carey on numerous projects including Mariah’s
World, Mariah Carey’s Vegas residency #1 to Infinity, Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour,
Un-Silent Night Christmas and All I
Want For Christmas at the Beacon Theater. Anthony has won an MTV Video
Music Award for Best Choreography for Beyonce’s Sorry and his recent movie credits include, Lemonade, Bad Grandpa, Jack Ass 4, The Skinny and Leave It On The Floor. He has also
appeared on the hit series Empire.
Anthony has been on Broadway as ‘Hank’ in Twyla
Tharp’s Musical Come Fly Away and has
appeared in countless TV shows including Raising
Asia, Abby Ultimate Dance Competition, Good Morning America, So You Think You
Can Dance, Dance Moms, Glee and The
Oprah Winfrey Show, among many others.
