Ido Sagir’s Artistic Dreams in Los Angeles

Israeli born singer, musician, and songwriter. Ido Sagir is pursuing his artistic dreams in Los Angeles. Ido spent his early childhood years in America before returning to his native Israel, where he discovered his passion and purpose for music. While in high school, at the age of fourteen, Ido was introduced to the guitar.

“My best friend started playing bass, and we wanted to jam together“. A natural, Ido was accepted as a student at the most prestigious music programs in the country, where he was classically trained in songwriting, guitar, oud, piano, and saz - scoring a perfect score at his final matriculation exam.

As a professional musician, Ido collaborated with his nation’s leading stars, actors, directors and producers, Hemi Rodner and Yishai Levy, Ron Weinreich, Itan Greenberg, Amos Ben David, and Uri Paster.

With a wealth of experience, Ido moved to Los Angeles to further his dreams. He is signed to “Promised Land Music Group” record label, where he performs as a featured guitarist, ethnic instrument performer, and songwriter. In Los Angeles, Ido has cherished the privilege of collaborating and performing with acclaimed local artists, Alena Bernardi, Ronny W, in the studio and in local venues, The Sayers Club, The Study, The Federal, The Pig N’ Whistle, and The Nickel Mine. Across the United States, Ido has performed in San Diego, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and was featured at the Aerofest festival in Mobile, Alabama, headlined by Matisyahu.

Ido Sagir’s approach to music is an innovative combination of the middle eastern style of his homeland combined with the music of the west.“I am passionate about combining the two musical worlds and creating a blend that has yet to be heard while staying true to my roots and most meaningful influences.”

In Israel, Ido celebrated a performance of middle-eastern renditions of Beatles songs using ethnic instruments - oud and saz
“I really enjoyed playing those songs in their original versions, but playing them in a way that was authentic to my own culture and upbringing was a special experience.”

Ido Sagir is passionate about performing and creating music and feels blessed to do what he is passionate about for a living and pursuing his artistic dreams in Los Angeles.
